Professor Glen Maberly is a Staff Specialist Endocrinologist at Blacktown and Mt Druitt Hospitals, and as Director of Western Sydney Diabetes, is the driving force behind the initiative.

Throughout his career, Prof Maberly has focused on fostering public-private-civic partnerships and bringing public health evidence based research findings to large scale implementation.
